The work recalls this body which emerges and which, by means of struggle, succeeds in overcoming all obstacles in order to free itself from matter. The fluid parts are a reminder of the water, in homage to all the athletes who, from near or far, have contact with the water in their sport : swimming, diving, rowing, etc. the rougher parts of the stone symbolize the enormous obstacles that the athlete must face throughout his career, but from which he manages to free himself.
