“Campanile” means “steeple” in Latin. The sculpture has two distinct elements. Stéphane Langlois’ project is inspired by history, the architectural heritage that can be found everywhere in the world and which differs from one place to another. The sculpture in height refers to the tower, the steeple, the cathedral. The form on the ground is a complement, a reflection, the shadow, the past, the present and the future, history in the raw sense of the term.
